Blog #6 Do it for YOURSELF
Hii! Hope y'all are doing well!
I had so many thoughts to myself these days, so thought of writing them down on the blog though I can't remember much! Do you find talking to yourself? Because I do that all the time and sometimes forget that I'm in public, I worry whether I've mouthed the words out loud, mainly because I don't want to look crazy. But what if I am, why would that matter if they found me crazy? They'd just walk away or think she's mad, it's just that, can it go more wrong?. So I should not be worrying about it in the first place I guess!? Well, those convos are really interesting, aren't they? I really enjoy them.
So the other day, I watched a video and the girl was crying because she almost died, choked on a pill. She was saying and I quote "you don't know when it could be all over, like one wrong step, one wrong move, like one decision you could completely alter the trajectory of your life, just there's no point in like doing things that you don't really enjoy and being around people that you don't enjoy and chasing a career path that you don't actually want because life is too short! Please, take this as a sign to actually pursue the life you want like stop trying to talk yourself out of what you really want in this lifetime, please please, if not for me, do it for yourself"
Her words really got me thinking, Am I doing what I really want to do, and what if I die now or tomorrow or in an hour, will I be happy for the life that I led, will I be regretting? Worrying about, this is what they say, this is what they want me to do, this is not right to the society, they'd think it's weird, they'd think this and that or I don't find happiness in doing it, I don't enjoy it but doing it for the sake of it. Why? Why are we living like that? Are we really living like that? Are we really doing it all for ourselves?
I don't know, the questions are endless, but I cannot help but agree with her words, life is too short so do whatever the f you want to make yourself happy and get the best out of what you have! I think being grateful for what we have is the most important. We should be grateful that we're looking at ourselves right now, that we can live under a roof, eat, and maybe just breathe and be alive. We have taken everything for granted even our breath. So I've learned that whatever it is I should be grateful that I'm alive.
So, Do things that make you happy and what you really want to do in this lifetime. Do it for yourself!!!
